Many businesses are feeling the effects of Covid-19. Some of them have been forced to temporarily shut down. If your spa business was forced to shut down because of the Coronavirus pandemic, then there are a number of things that you will need to do.

Become Germ Aware

The coronavirus has caused people to become more cautious about germs and how to prevent them from spreading. People who perform spa services have always had to take special care in order to avoid the spread of germs. However, now is a great time to refresh your knowledge. You can also take courses that cover the basics of germs. If you know what type of protocol you need to follow to keep everything clean, then you will be able to pass this information to your family members and friends.

Implement Protocols

One of the most important things that people can learn from Coronavirus is the importance of being prepared. You should have a protocol in place that will prevent the spread of germs. Your protocol should address the following questions.
  • What is your policy regarding sick clients?
  • What type of disinfecting practices do you have in place?
  • What cosmetology practices need to be put in place?
  • What is the onboarding process for new employees?

Do a Deep Cleaning

Everyone who works in the spa industry needs to do a deep cleaning of their building before they open it. Not only do you need to clean the building from top to bottom, but you may also want to do some remodeling. For example, you may want to invest in some new equipment and furniture. You may also want to paint the area.
