What is a Body Polish?

Posted: November 2nd, 2011

A body polish is a body treatment that exfoliates and hydrates your skin. A body polish is usually done in a room with tile and a shower that is especially prepared for the treatment. The first step in the body polish procedure is to undress and lay on the massage table. You will be offered a fresh sheet to cover up your unexposed areas during the treatment. Using the specially prepared sea salt scrub the therapist gently rubs the salt on the back, back of the legs and the back of your arms. When the sea salt scrub is completely applied to the back of your body, you will be asked to get up and go rinse off in a shower. After returning to the massage area the therapist proceeds to apply the sea salt scrub to the front side of your body and like before, when the procedure is complete you will be asked to go rinse off the sea salt scrub in the shower. After the sea salt scrub is applied and rinsed off a special formulated lotion is applied to rehydrate the skin. Body polishes can be done alone or as the first step in other procedures. The body polish can also be followed by a massage. To schedule a body polish you can call Space Coast Massage at 321-729-9000.
