Treat Dad To A Father's Day Facial

Father's Day is right around the corner. Make your dad feel loved and appreciated with a gift certificate to a day spa. It's time to treat dad to a Father's Day Facial. Men need to get facials because they produce a significantly larger amount of the hormone testosterone in comparison to women. High levels of testosterone lead to a greater production of oils, which can lead to clogged pores and acne. Getting a treatment every four to six weeks is enough to keep the skin glowing.   Facials can also rehydrate the skin, reduce wrinkles, and make shaving easier. During a facial, a highly qualified esthetician cleanses, exfoliates, and nourishes the client's skin. The cleansing process includes removing excess oil from the face with wipes, sponges, or pads. The exfoliation process includes a mechanical or chemical exfoliation that removes dead skin cells that lay upon the surface of the skin. A mask suited to one's skin type is used after exfoliation to help treat the client's particular skin condition. Face masks can be rejuvenating, soothing, nourishing, hydrating, and can help tighten pores depending on the type of mask. After around ten to fifteen minutes, the mask is removed and the esthetician ends the facial with a final skin application.   The final application can include moisturizers, essential oils, toner, and sometimes sunscreen to protect the newly replenished skin. In regards to shaving, it is suggested that men shave the day before or around six to eight hours before their appointment. Shaving immediately before the treatment can cause the skin to feel sore or tender. On the other hand, having too much stubble can decrease the effectiveness of the essential oils and moisturizers.   A facial is an incredibly healthy and relaxing experience that all dads should experience, making it a great Father's Day gift.
