Skin Types

Not everyone has the same skin type. Because everyone has a differently type of skin, it is important to identify what type of skin you have. Your skin care regimen will be dependent upon your skin type. There are five types of skin: oily, dry, combination, sensitive and aging or sun-damaged. People with oily skin generally have skin that appears to be shiny and has what appears to be enlarged pores. This type of skin is also more prone to blackheads and blemishes. People with dry skin have skin that can feel tight after it has been washed. People with this type of skin tend to have more fine wrinkles, flaking and red patches. People with combination skin usually have skin that is smooth and even textured. It tends to be of a healthy color and appears to have medium pores. This skin type tends to have dryness on the cheeks and an oily t-zone. People with sensitive skin have skin that seems to be thin and delicate with fine pores. This skin type can easily flush and is more likely to experience allergic reactions. People with aging or sun-damaged skin have visible wrinkles. They tend to have leathery skin and broken capillaries. No matter what your skin type is, getting a regular facial will help to keep your skin healthy and beautiful.
