Rosemary Essential Oil and its Numerous Benefits

Essential oils have many health benefits, from aromatherapy to topical healing. Whether used for massage therapy or to improve mood, rosemary essential oil is great to have on hand. For example, rosemary oil is great for improving brain function. Using an oil diffuser, students who used rosemary aromatherapy were more alert and had improved memory while taking tests. Rosemary oil aromatherapy is also great for managing stress levels.   Applying rosemary essential oil topically also has numerous health benefits. People suffering from alopecia or stunted hair growth dilute rosemary with coconut oil, shampoo, and sometimes water and massage them into their hair and scalp, which improves baldness and thinning hair strands. The same applies when using this essential oil for massage therapy. After diluting rosemary oil, massaging the blend into the skin will also improve circulating, which is necessary for distributing body heat.
Applying rosemary is also beneficial to reduce inflammation. People suffering from inflammation disorders, including rheumatoid arthritis, are recommended to massage a rosemary blend to their swollen joints. Applying this blend will also relieve joint pain, making everyday activities manageable.   For treating internal ailments, food-grade rosemary oil is a natural alternative. For people with food poisoning, ingesting minimal amounts reduces the bacteria that cause the illness.   Rosemary oil has numerous health benefits and can be used in various ways. If applying to skin, be sure to dilute rosemary, and other essential oils, due to their high concentration. Applying directly to the skin can cause chemical burns. It's recommended to use between 5-12 drops of rosemary oil for a diffuser. For topical application, dilute up to six drops of rosemary oil in an ounce of the desired carrier oil. Consult a physician immediately if irritation occurs.
